Tony Johnson

Tony Johnson, 66, of Greenwood, formerly of Plainfield, passed away peacefully on February 26, 2022.  He was born in Indianapolis on December 7, 1955 to the late Shirl Johnson and Della Mae Fuquay.  Tony was a 1974 graduate of Plainfield High School and served in the United States Coast Guard from 1977 to 1981.  He was a technician with AT&T/Indiana Bell for over 30 years retiring in 2012.  Tony lived and breathed music, it was everything to him.  He had a large vinyl and CD collection.  Tony enjoyed going to concerts any chance he could.  He spent his free time singing and writing poems.  Tony loved spending time with his loved ones.  He was preceded in death by his daughter, Trinity Johnson and his brother, Eddie Johnson.  Funeral services will be Friday, March 4, 2022 in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home at 7:00 pm where friends may visit from 4:00 pm until service time.  Survivors include his companion, Patty Doan; mother of Trevor and Trent, Terri Johnson; sons, Trevor and Trent Johnson; siblings, Shirl Jr. (Stefanie) Johnson, Linda Harlos, Darrell Johnson and Stephanie (David) Groce; granddaughters, Laylie and London.  Tony will be truly missed.
