Norma graduated from Southport High School in 1942. After graduation she began working in downtown Indianapolis at L.S. Ayres in the cash office where she worked on and off for the next 40 years. She began working there when the pneumatic tubes were used for transactions on the sales floors. Her husband, Everett Wendt and son, Mark Wendt, brother James Camden, all preceded her in death. Survivors include her daughter, Carol Wendt, twin grandchildren Michael Wendt, Anna Wendt Miller (Matt), sister, Betty Barding, niece Maryann Adams (Kim), nephews, Lonis Wendt, and William Wendt.
