Winifred I. Catlin

Winifred I. Catlin, 97, of Plainfield, passed away September 14, 2017.  She was born September 27, 1919 to the late Frederick A. and Bernice M. (Peats) Peters in Indianapolis, IN.  She was a personal secretary to  J.I. Holcomb and the Chemical Manufactures Supply Co for 20 years retiring in 1987.  She was a member of the St. Andrew Presbyterian Church, Indianapolis and the Tri-Kappa Sorority.  Winifred is survived by a son, David F. (Linda M.) Catlin; a daughter, Sherry L. Wood and companion Christine Volkmer; 4 grandsons, Nicholas D. (Erin) Catlin, Adam (Merrill) Wood, Nathan Wood, and Colin (Kristin) Wood; a granddaughter, Lily E. (Eric) Johnson; a step-granddaughter, Amie M. (Mark) Osborn; and 9 great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Earle C. Catlin and a step-grandson, Nathan E. Conwell.  Funeral services will be at 7:00 pm on Monday, September 18, 2017 in the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield, where friends may call on Monday from 6:00 pm until service time at 7:00 pm.  A private burial will take place at Crown Hill Cemetery, Indianapolis.  The family would like to thank the staff at Plainfield Healthcare for their exceptional care and support.
