William Ruhl

William E. Ruhl, 92, of Indianapolis, passed away on May 6, 2023. He was born on August 9, 1930 in Indianapolis to the late Edward and Elva Eda Ruhl. William was an United States Air Force veteran and served in the Korean War. He worked for GM Allison Transmission for 20 years. He enjoyed relaxing and watching Notre Dame football and IU basketball. William loved spending time with his family as often as he could. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Patty Ruhl; sisters, Dorothy Hutchinson, Barbara Hinman and Alice Ruhl. Funeral services will be Friday, May 12, 2023 at 1:00 pm in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home where friends may visit from 11:00 am until the time of the service at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow at West Newton Cemetery with military honors. Survivors include his sons, Michael (Barbara), Scot and Dean Ruhl; 4 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren.
