William R. Loveless

William R. Loveless, 90, of Plainfield, passed away on February 25, 2025. He was born on December 18, 1934 in New Castle, Delaware to the late William A. Loveless and Laura (Peterson) Loveless. Bill received his Associate's Degree from the Spartan School of Aeronautics in Tulsa, Oklahoma, later working as a lead mechanic at U.S. Air  for 37 years before retiring in 1996. He was a United States Army Veteran who served during the Korean War. Bill enjoyed fishing, wood working, reading and traveling. He is preceded in death by a brother, James Loveless; sister, Barbara Warren. Memorial services will be held on Thursday, March 6, 2025 at Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home beginning at 2:00 p.m., where family and friends may visit from 12:00 p.m. (noon)  until time of service. Survivors include his loving wife since 1954, Betty J. (Jackson) Loveless; son, Scott J. Loveless; daughter, Arlene R. (William) Beck; 1 grandchild and 3 great grandchildren.
