William E. Gerber Sr.

William E. Gerber Sr., 71 of Indianapolis, passed away March 27, 2025.  He was born October 30, 1953 to the late Alfred R. and Hazel M. (Oller) Gerber in Indianapolis, IN.  He was an US Army veteran of the Vietnam War.  He retired as a postal worker for the United States Postal Service.  William is survived by his wife, Joyce (Cooksey) Gerber;  a daughter, Tammy (Jude) Fowler; a son, William "Billy" (Jennifer) Gerber Jr.; a sister. Sharon Shafer; a brother, Julius "Yogi" (Julie) Gerber; 3 grandchildren, C J Fowler, William "Will" Gerber and Sadie Gerber; and 3 great grandchildren, Emery, Ayla and Tatum Fowler.  He was preceded in death by 3 siblings, Estella Gerber, David Gerber and Rosemary Bidgood and 1 grandchild, Troy Gerber.  There will be no calling or services.  Arrangements by Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield.
