William A. Corbin Jr., 67, of Martinsville, returned to his heavenly home February 17, 2018. He was born July 21, 1950 to William A. and Dorothy (Stamper) Corbin in Williamsport, IN. He was an honorable US Army veteran (1967-73). He was a millwright for Allison Transmission Plant for 44 years retiring in 2016. He was a member of the UAW. William was an active and faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Martinsville Ward. He loved serving and helping others, and teaching the children in his Primary class. He found great joy in spending time with his children and grandchildren. William is survived by his two sons, Andrew (Laura) and Anthony (Laura) Corbin; three daughters, Jennifer (Carlos) Castaneda, Melissa (Nathan) Reynolds, and Kathryn (Brent) Hutchison; his mother, Dorothy Corbin; a brother, Michael Corbin; a sister, Mary (Gary) Gouty; and 21 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, William A. Corbin Sr., and two brothers Richard G. and David A. Corbin. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 in the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield. Funeral services will be at 10:00 am on Thursday, February 22 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, (2125 Reeves Road, Plainfield, IN). He will be buried next to his family in Hopewell Cemetery, Rileysburg, IN.
