William "Bill" Fouty

William "Bill" Fouty, 84, of Plainfield, passed away on February 21, 2024.  He was born on June 19, 1939 in Morgan County to the late Earl and Maudie Fouty.  Bill worked for IBM as a Information Technology Manager until he retired in 1990.  He then went to work for the Department of Corrections and the Department of Health retiring in 2008.  Bill enjoyed going to auctions and working on the farm in his free time.  He loved spending time with his family.  Bill was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Fouty.  A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, February 28, 2024 at 7:00 pm in First Baptist Church Plainfield (1012 Stafford Road, Plainfield, IN 46168) where friends may visit from 4:00 pm until the time of service at 7:00 pm.  Survivors include his loving wife, Ruthi Fouty; sons, Steve (Fayrene) and Tim (Cindy) Fouty; brother, Gene Fouty; grandchildren, Shelbi (Colt), Lindsey (Tyler) and Caleb (Rose); great grandchildren, Zion, Tate, Addilyn, Abel, Jett, Palmer and 1 on the way!   In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the First Baptist Church Plainfield (1012 Stafford Road, Plainfield, IN 46168).
