Vicky S. Downs

Vicky S. Downs 65, of Plainfield, passed away December 25, 2022.  She was born August 29, 1957 to the late Robert and Irma (Batts) Laux in Indianapolis, IN.  She is survived by her husband, Eddie Downs Jr.; a daughter, Angela M. (Jason) Reitzel; a brother, Michael (Maggie) Laux; a sister, Sandra Long; two grandchildren, Trinity and Cannon Reitzel; a niece, Tammy (Daniel) Henderson; and a special cousin, Danielle Voiles.  Vicky and Eddie were married for 40 years. Vicky was a hard worker and worked at Western Bindery in Indianapolis until her first grandchild Trinity aka Turkey was born in 2007. She was a full time caregiver for her grandchildren until Cannon aka Baby Boy started school. Vicky’s favorite accomplishment was being a grandmother. Vicky enjoyed spending time with her family especially the grandkids. She loved making crafts, sewing and making blankets. She enjoyed the yearly trips to the Covered Bridge festival.   Memorial services will be at 3:00 pm on Friday, December 30, 2022 at the Hazelwood Christian Church, 9947 S. County Road O, Hazelwood, with calling at the church from 1:00 pm until service time at 3:00 pm.  Arrangements by Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield.
