Shirley Mae Imel

Shirley Mae Imel, 91, of Greencastle, passed away peacefully on December 4, 2024.  She was born in Indianapolis on June 7, 1933.  Shirley was a homemaker and a dedicated mother.  She loved doing crafts and even owned her own craft shop for awhile.  Shirley enjoyed playing games and was very competitive.  She and William vacationed in Arizona for 20 plus years.  Shirley was a member of the Hazelwood Christian Church.  She was preceded in death by her mother, Muriel Strader; grandparents, whom raised her, Minnie and Ora Baker; children, Melanie Wilkinson, Randy Hack and Pamela Bryant.  Funeral services will be on Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at 1:00 pm in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home where friends may visit from 11:00 am until the time of service at 1:00 pm.  Burial will follow in Washington Park East Cemetery.  Survivors include her loving husband, William Imel; daughters, Victoria (Alan) Dicks and Julie (Gary) Goss; son in law, Rick Bryant; 7 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren.
