Shelby J. Dennison

Shelby J Dennison (nee Dixon), 82, of Avon, died on Saturday, August 12, 2023 after a long illness.  She was born August 10, 1941 to the late Jack and Beatrice (Hinton) Dixon in Cross Plains, Tennessee.  Shelby retired from Kroger after more than 30 years of dedicated service.  With the loyalty of friendship, a generous spirit, the neighborhood mom, a storybook grandmother, and a smile that would light up a room, Shelby was a beloved bright spot in the life of anyone that knew her and will be dearly missed by all.  Survivors include sons, Duane Dennison of Plainfield and Brian (Megan) Dennison of Austin, Texas; daughters, Talisa (Larry) Pridemore of Avon, and Denise Boyer of St. Petersburg, Florida; 9 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and two sisters - Clara (Charles) Holtzman of Elyria, Ohio and Darlene (Steve) Hedgecock of Beckley, West Virginia.  A celebration of life ceremony will be announced in the coming days for family and friends to remember a truly great lady.  Arrangements by Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield.
