Sandy Sue (Woodward) Myers, 69, of Fillmore, IN, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2025 in Sebring, FL. Sandy was born on November 6, 1955, the daughter of Max and Phyllis (Wallace) Woodward of Cambridge City, IN. She graduated from Tri Jr.-Sr. High School in Lewisville, IN in 1974. She went on to earn her undergraduate degree from Indiana University in 1979 and her graduate degree from Ball State University in 1981. On March 18, 1989 she married Jack Myers. They have been happily married for 36 years. After graduating from Indiana University, Sandy was a first-grade teacher at Milton Elementary School in Milton, IN for many years before she resigned from teaching in 1994. She then went on to various jobs, such as owning and operating a feed store and petting zoo in Fillmore She began working for the United States Postal Service in 1996. She retired from the US Postal Service in 2021. Sandy enjoyed reading, quilting, gardening, taking care of her farm animals, going to air shows, attending car shows, watching television, listening to music, and spending time with her family. To everyone who met her, she was a kind, loving and generous soul. During the winter months, Sandy and Jack had a home in Sebring, FL. where they spent time with Jack's father and wife, Walter Emory Price and Gwen Kassim, as well as their friends and neighbors. Sandy is survived by her husband, Jack; their two sons Joseph (Megan) Myers of Greencastle and their children, Peyton, Gracie, Brady, Lincoln, and Emory Myers., and son Roger Myers, and his children, Hunter, Ashton and Parker Myers; also granddaughters, Bailey (Kurtis) Clark; great grandchildren, Olivia (Joseph) Clark; and granddaughter, Katie Hines and Fiance Dylan Oliver. Also surviving is a sister-in-law, Cathy Woodward of Milan, IN; niece Christy (Woodward) and Brian Moline of Milan; great nieces, Ava and Morgan Moline; nephew, Matthew and Carrie Tibbs; and great niece Olivia Tibbs of Kendallville, IN. She was preceeded in death by her parents; a step-daughter, Shawndiya Hines; sister, Jeri (Woodward) Tibbs; brother, Tom Woodward; and grandmother, Geraldine (Smalley) Beeson. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 pm on Thursday, February 6. 2025 in the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield. Funeral services will be at 10:30 am Friday, February 7 also in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery, Plainfield.
