Sandra Wuensch

Sandra Wuensch, 85, of Plainfield, passed away on June 28, 2024.  She was born on December 28, 1938 in Indianapolis to the late Cecil and Mary Woolsey.  Sandra was an assistant administrator for the Indiana Hand Surgery Associates for 20 years.  She was a devoted loving wife, mom, mamaw and great grandmother.  She did many things in her life, some I would never expect.  Growing up she always tried to be elegant and proper because she was brought up that way.  Sandra tried to instill those values into Johnny and myself but we always thought about it and said, “mom we are boys”.  We loved and respected our mom.  Sandra rode a motorcycle for a while by herself and went on numerous motorcycle trips across the country riding behind dad on his Harley Davidson.  She would even read a book while going down the highway.  Sandra took up snow skiing later in life.  She loved going to Michigan with myself and her grandchildren, just ask Sarah how much she enjoyed the chairlifts.  When the lift would stop midway Sarah would say, “daddy mamaw said bad words when the chairlift stopped”.   She always had a good time skiing with her family.  Sandra was a huge supporter in all of Johnny and myself’s sports throughout little league all the way through high school sports.  She attended her grandchildren’s activities, very seldom missing any of them.  Sandra's main purpose in life was being a care giver to her parents, husband and son, Johnny.  She gave her all in making sure everyone she loved was taken care of.  Many times, that meant seeing death in her house first hand but that was her purpose.  Now she once again can be with her mom, dad, sisters, husband, son and all of her relatives she loved and was loved by.  Most importantly, it’s time for her to be taken care of by the God above.  We will miss you terribly.  There won’t be a day that goes by where we don’t think of you and how much we loved you. God speed Mom… mamaw.  Sandra was preceded in death by her loving husband, Butch Wuensch; son, Jonathan Wuensch; sisters, Lila Carlisle and Patty Woolsey.  A Celebration Of Life will be held at a later date. Survivors include her son, Jeff (Kelly Aldridge) Wuensch; grandchildren, Sarah (Shane) Highsmith, Mary (Jeremy Minor) Wuensch and Daniel (Samantha) Wuensch.
