Roy K. Swalley

Roy K. Swalley, 81, of Plainfield, passed away June 20, 2017. He was born February 12, 1936 in Bowling Green, IN to the late Harold and Hazel Swalley. Roy was a U.S. Army veteran. He retired in 1986 after 30 years as an installer/repairman for Indiana Bell (AT & T). Roy retired a second time in 2003 after 17 years as a consultant to Eli Lilly. He was preceded in death by his wife, Erma Swalley, son, Jay Swalley and a sister, Jo Anne Schlegal.  Survivors include his daughters, Glenda (Michael) Pate and Kara Swalley; sons, Von (Debbie) and Ken Roy Swalley; and daughter-in-law, Heather Swalley.  Graveside services will be Saturday, July 15, 2017 at 10:30 am at Maple Hill Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to The Gathering Together (147 N. Center Street, Plainfield, IN 46168).
