Ross Andrew Acton

Ross Andrew Acton, of Clayton, passed away surrounded by loving family members.  He was born on February 21, 1965 in Danville to the late Wayne and Loretta Acton.  Ross worked various jobs over the years.  He was a jack of all trades.  Ross enjoyed fishing, camping, cookouts, bonfires and playing cards in his free time.  He loved spending time with his family and friends.  Ross was preceded in death by a brother, Rex Acton and a sister, Janet Acton.  Funeral services will be on Thursday, September 21, 2023 at 1:00 pm in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home where friends may visit from 11:00 am until the time of service at 1:00 pm.  Burial will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery.  Survivors include his companion of 30 years, Sara Hatten; daughters, Jessica Green and Katelynne Hatten; brother, Ray (Linda) Acton; sisters, Fay (George) Cheeks, Kay Acton, Gayle (Wayne) Mayo, Jane Mayo and Jill (Douglas) Albrecht; 7 grandchildren.
