Rosemary (Sheeks) McCart, 93, of Plainfield, died on Tuesday, January 15, 2019.
She was born on October 27, 1925 to the late Lester and Mary (Cooper) Sheeks and is also preceded in death by her brother Bill Sheeks and sisters, Penny Jones and Janet Greene.
Born and raised on a farm in Mitchel, IN, she was the first of her family to graduate from college (Indiana University) and obtain a Masters’ degree (Butler University). Professionally, she was a Music Teacher, Counselor, and Psychologist, spending her career helping students fulfill their own potential.
For 63 years and until his passing, Rosemary was happily married to her sole-mate, James McCart. In speaking of his wife, James once said, “Rosemary is the most important thing that ever happened to me.”
Rosemary will be missed and remembered by her children (David McCart and Jill Hutchens), her grandchildren (Darrick, Kristin, Jamie and Robin) and great grandchildren (Maci, Faith Rose, Jackson, Max, Camden and Gigi).
