Ronald E. Lane

Ronald E. Lane, 68, of Speedway, passed away November 15, 2018.  He was born October 5, 1950 to the late Noel and Lucy (Hall) Lane in Martinsville, IN.  He graduated from Plainfield High School in 1969.  He was a US Army veteran.  He was a meat cutter for Kroger in Danville for 46 years retiring in 2016.  Ron is survived by his wife, Susan J. (Wolfe) Lane; a son, Kyle A. Lane; a daughter, Tracy J. Lane; a sister, Mary Lou Burton; and two grandchildren, Easton Siegrist and Beckham Lane, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Melanie Elizabeth Lane and a brother, Donald E. Lane.  Funeral services will be at 6:00 pm on Sunday, November 18, 2018 in the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield, where friends may call on Sunday from 3:00 pm until service time at 6:00 pm.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum or the American Heart Association.
