Ronald E. Brown

Ronald E. Brown, 72, of Plainfield, passed away February 20, 2023.  He was born February 28, 1950 to the late Hurbert and Evelyn (Sparks) Brown in Indianapolis, IN.  He was a US Marine Corps veteran.  He worked for the Town of Plainfield as a supervisor in the Sewer Department for 25 years.  Later he worked for Pools of Fun and then as an equipment operator for Dirt Works Plus Inc. for several years.  Ron is survived by his wife, Sheila A. (Ward) Brown; two sons, Bill S. (Stephanie) Brown and Steve M. (Mea) Brown; five siblings, Harold Lee Sparks, Joy A. Lovins, Donald C. (Susie) Brown, David W. (Diana) Brown and Darrell A. (Carla) Brown; 8 grandchildren, Hailey (Justin) Whitaker, Brittany Brown, Taylor (Kyle) Stewart, Steven (Brianna) Brown, Logan (Caleb) Frettinger, Christopher Brown, Bri  Brown, and Sydney Brown; and 7 great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his sister, Terresa Brown; and his father and mother-in-law, William and Jessie Ward.  Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm on Saturday, February 25, 2023 in the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield, where friends may call on Saturday from 11:00 am until service time at 1:00 pm  Burial will follow in Clayton Cemetery.
