Ronald Abbott

Ronald Abbott, 79, of Mooresville, passed away on February 23, 2025. He was born on November 10, 1945 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Chester B. Abbott and Martha "Pauline" (Scott) Abbott. Ronald graduated from Avon High School in 1964. He later worked as a baggage handler for United Airlines for many years. Ronald loved fishing, attending auctions, working on stock cars, attending dirt track races and car shows down at the "The Suds" drive-in restaurant on the south side. Ronald also loved playing Santa Clause along side his wife, Mary Anne, who played Mrs. Clause. Most of all though, he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchild, Izabel. He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Mary Anne Abbott; sister, Linda Accuff.  A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Survivors include his son, Bryce (Mallory) Abbott; daughter, Crystal Abbott; brother, Donald (Barbara) Abbott; sister, Phyllis (Howard) Smith; brother-in-law, Greg Accuff; grandchild, Izabel Abbott.  A Celebration of Life gathering will be at the Plainfield Aquatic Center, 651 Vestal Road, Room 139, Plainfield from 2:00 to 5:00 pm on Sunday, March 16, 2025.
