Robert "Bob" Bissonnette Sr., 78, of Clayton, passed away on February 15, 2019. He was born on July 7, 1940 in Ruscom, Ontario, Canada to the late Raymond and Blanche Bissonnette. Bob received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Wisconsin State University. He was a Vietnam veteran of the United States Air Force. Aviation was his passion. He obtained his private pilot's license and then went on to become a flight instructor. Bob was certified by the FAA on several large passenger planes. He was a Federal Aviation Safety Inspector until he retired. Bob was a member of the Plainfield Elks Lodge #2186. Bob was an avid golfer and even worked at Oak Tree Golf Course part time. Bob enjoyed playing the guitar, wood working, riding motorcycles and was a Master Gardener. He was preceded in death by his brother, Paul Bissonnette and his sister, Gertrude Lickfold. A Celebration Of Life will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at 1:00 pm in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home where friends may visit from 11:00 am until time of service. Survivors include his loving wife, Donna Bissonnette; daughters, Kimberly (John) Valverde, Karen Wolter and Katherine (Dale) Collins; son, Robert (Corina) Bissonnette Jr.; brothers, Bernard and Eugene Bissonnette; sisters, Joan Cunningham, Julie Mirander and Michelle Wall; 10 grandchildren.
