Robert Blunk

Robert Blunk, 93, of Plainfield, passed away on June 15, 2020.  He was born on February 16, 1927 in Mooresville to the late Homer and Jessie Blunk.  Robert was an United States Army veteran and served in WWII.  He was a manager for ITT Financial Services for 25 years retiring in 1987.  Robert went on to work for Hendricks Regional Health from 1989 to 1998.  He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Plainfield.  Robert enjoyed writing short stories, poems, riding his bicycle, walking and traveling by any form of transportation.  He was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.  Visitation will be Friday, June 19, 2020 in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home from 5:00 to 7:00 pm.  Graveside services will be Saturday, June 20, 2020 at 11:00 am in White Lick Cemetery, Mooresvile, IN.  Survivors include his wife, Lavon Blunk; step-son, John (Joyce) Isom; 5 grandchildren; many great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
