Richard L. Kirk

Richard L. Kirk, 88, of Plainfield, passed away June 10, 2018.  He was born July 24, 1929 to the late Daniel and Goldie Kirk in Monrovia, IN.  He was a member of the Plainfield Masonic Lodge #653.  He worked for the Plainfield Oil Co as a driver for 37 years retiring in 1985.  He  was a school bus driver for the Plainfield Community School Corp. for 31 years retiring in 1998.  He also was a part-time farmer.  Richard  is survived by four daughters, Kathy E. (Ron) Dooley, Sharon K. (Danny) Goble, Karen S. Sumners, and Beverly A. (Gary) Padgett; 5 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth "Betty" M. (Hinshaw) Kirk.  Funeral services will be at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 in the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield, where friends may call on Wednesday from 10:00 am until service time at 12:00 noon.  Burial will follow in Fairfield Friends Cemetery, Camby.
