PLAINFIELD -- Richard Curtis Fattic (91) went to be with his Lord and Savior on January 7, 2019. He was born on June 6, 1927 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Ethel and William Fattic. May Louise Cullison Fattic, his wife of 61 ½ years, his parents and all his siblings preceded him in death. Richard was a devoted caregiver for May Louise during her final illness. Survivors include daughter, Stephanie (Jeff) Dorman, grandchildren Timothy (Danielle) Dorman and Lauren Ashley Dorman, and three nephews and two nieces. In 2010, he married Muriel Johnson, who survives, along with stepchildren Bruce (Ann) Johnson, David (Melody) Johnson, Linda (Mark) VanValin, Judith (Bruce) Young, and 12 step-grandchildren and 11 step-great grandchildren. After graduating from Arsenal Technical High School, he attended Greenville College, Indiana College of Mortuary Science, and Indiana Central College Institute of Banking. He worked at First Indiana Bank for 44 years, retiring as Vice President. Richard was an avid reader, enjoyed traveling, loved to tell jokes and spend time with family and friends.
Funeral services for Richard will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, January 14, 2019 at Light and Life Free Methodist Church, 8264 East County Road 100 South in Avon, Indiana, with Rev. Chet Martin officiating. Graveside services and burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, 9350 East Washington Street, Indianapolis. Friends may visit with the family from 3:00 to 7:00 PM on Sunday, January 13, 2019 at the church. Hampton Gentry Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in memory of Richard may be donated to the church or Greenville College, 315 East College Ave., Greenville, IL 62246.
