Ray Saxman

Dr. Ray Saxman, 82, of Plainfield, passed away February 10, 2018. He was born December 21, 1935 to the late Dorwin and Nondis Saxman in Delaware County, IN. He received his B.S. degree from Ball State Teachers College and his EDD from Ball State University. He was a science teacher at Plainfield High School for over 20 years. He also chaired the Science Department for many years. Ray is survived by his wife, Carolyn J. (Gilbert) Saxman; three sons, Scott (Denise), Ron (Marsha), and Brad (Leanne) Saxman; a sister Martha Curtis; and 5 grandchildren. He was a member of Plainfield Christian Church (800 Dan Jones Road) where a memorial service will be held at 7:00 pm on Thursday, February 15, 2018. Visitation will also be at the church on Thursday from 4:00 pm until service time. Inurnment will be at Maple Hill Cemetery, Plainfield.
