Ramona Marie Kersey

Ramona (Mona) Marie Kersey, 93, of Lady Lake, FL, passed away surrounded by loving family members.  She was born on October 31, 1929 to the late Edward and Lenora McNutt.  Ramona worked at the Indiana Girls School for 10 years.  She was a Sheriff's Detention Officer for Maricopa County, Arizona for 10 years before retiring in 1988.  Ramona belonged to the Arizona FOP and the Lady's of Lester Lane.  She enjoyed reading, gardening, playing a decorating game on her cell phone and was an avid Facebook user.  Ramona loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 50 years, Jack Kersey Sr; daughter, Shelia Watson; brother, Jim McNutt.  Funeral services will be private.  Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.  Survivors include her children, Merle (Dennis) Hoffman, Jackie Kersey Jr, Ricky (Sindy) Kersey and Karl (Kim) Kersey; 14 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; 9 great great grandchildren with 1 on the way!
