Ralph W. Bell

Ralph W. Bell, 69, of Plainfield, passed away surrounded by loving family members on August 30, 2024. He was born to the late Thomas Bell Sr. and Buena Vista (Brown) Bell on March 9, 1955. Ralph proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp. from 1975 to 1981. He worked at the Plainfield Correctional Facility for 25 years as a sergeant. After retirement, he later worked for Keystone Cooperative for another 16 years. Ralph was a member of the Plainfield Masonic Lodge # 653. He loved music, gardening, swimming, going to the casinos, having BBQ parties at the house while having musical jam sessions with his harmonica. Ralph also was an avid Colts fan, and enjoyed watching all his grandchildren play sports. He is preceded in death by his son, Evan Bell; brother, Earl Bell. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 6, 2024 at 11:00 am at Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, where friends and family may visit on Thursday, September 5, 2024 at the funeral home from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Burial will follow to Stilesville Cemetery with military honors. Ralph is survived by his loving wife, Amy Bell; sons, Adam (Jacquie) Bell, Zachary (Jodi) Bell; siblings, Tom, Alice, May, Helen, Ruth and Susie; 4 grandchildren, Lilly, Samuel, Brynlee and Madilyn.
