Phyllis Harris

Phyllis Harris, 91, of Plainfield, passed away on February 1, 2023 surrounded by loving family members.  She was born on July 18, 1931 in Bloomington, IN to the late Ben Srygley and Louise Hiestand.  Phyllis was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and a dedicated homemaker.  She enjoyed sewing and cross stitching in her free time.  Phyllis loved spending time with her family as often as she could.  She was a member of the Belleville Church of Christ.  Phyllis was preceded in death by her loving husband, Raymond Harris.  Visitation will be on Monday, February 6, 2023 in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.  Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at Day & Carter Mortuary (1133 Lincoln Ave, Bedford, IN 47421) where friends may visit from 12:00 pm until the time of service at 2:00 pm.  Burial will follow in Pinhook Cemetery.  Survivors include her sons, Jerry (Eva), Sam and John (Tammy) Harris; daughter, Loretta (Richard) Cummins; brothers, Terry and David Hiestand; sister, Connie (Steve) Conklin; 7 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren.
