Penny Childers

Penny Childers, 79, of Plainfield, passed away October 21, 2018.  She was born June 8, 1939 to the late Andy and Melody (Neace) Holland in Hazard, KY.  She worked as a cashier for Kroger in Plainfield for 27 years retiring in 2002.  Penny is survived by three sons, James A, Randall P., and Timothy J. (Suzy) Childers; three daughters, Elizabeth A. (David) Fair, Teena M. (Dominic) Onofrio, and Tamara (Jim) Treat; two half-sisters, Jeannette Mount and Patty McNeeley; 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.  Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm on Saturday, October 27, 2018 in the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield, where friends may call on Saturday from 11:00 am until service time at 2:00 pm.  Inurnment will take place at Clayton Cemetery at a later date.
