Patricia L. Cole

Patricia L. Cole, 81, of Plainfield, passed away surrounded by loving family members on August 17, 2020.  She was born on December 24, 1938 in Worley, KY to the late Elbert Strunk and Edith Strunk Abbott.  Patricia was a loving mother and dedicated homemaker.  In retirement she worked in the kitchen at Westside Christian Retirement Village retiring in 1995 after 12 years.  She was a 50 year member of the Bridgeport Order Of The Eastern Star.  Patricia enjoyed working in the yard among her flowers and hummingbirds.  She loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.  Patricia was preceded in death by her husband, Deward Cole; brother, Morris Strunk; sister, Joanne Perry.  Graveside services and burial in Kentucky will be private.  Survivors include her son, Terrence (Dana) Cole; daughters, Charlotte (Tim) Shorter and Shonda (Bill) Meranda; sisters, Pamela (Buddy) Wilson and Kathy Woods; grandchildren, Ian Cole, Delaney Knoch, Sarah Shorter, Clayton and Will Meranda.  In lieu of flowers contributions may be sent to the Heart to Heart Hospice at (HTOHHFOUNDATION.ORG).
