Pamela Lee Porter

Pamela “Pam” L. Holland Porter, 65, of Plainfield, Indiana, passed away August 29, 2022.  Pam was born May 1, 1957. She attended Plainfield High School in Plainfield,  Indiana. Immediately following high school, in 1976, she began working as a member of the Plainfield Dispatch/Hendricks Co Communications Center. She provided assistance, to the community thru 911 calls until she retired in 2021. Her vast knowledge and experience in many roles assisted the Communications Center of the evolution of the 911 center.  She enjoyed crafts, casinos and watching NFL football. Pam also spent her time caring for her husband, Tony. She was also a member of the Plainfield Eagles Auxiliary 3207.  She is survived by her husband, Anthony “Tony” Porter; brothers, Talman, Elmer, Bill Holland and stepdaughter, Claudia Porter Shaw (James); several nephews; and 3 step grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her mother, Thelma J. Holland and brother, Stoney Holland. Arrangements are with Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home in Plainfield. A celebration of life will take place at Plainfield Eagles Lodge, 5556 E. US 40,  on Sunday, September 18, 2022 at 3:00 P.M.
