Orland "JR" Warren, 94, of Brownsburg, went to be with the Lord on April 13, 2019. He was born in Pawhuska, OK on August 15, 1924 to the late Howard and Minnie Augusta Warren. Orland graduated from Plainfield High School in 1942. Then he was inducted into the U.S. Army during WWII and served in the (ETO) the 126th AAA 9th Air Defense Unit. After being discharged from the Army, he was employed by Indiana Bell Telephone Company as a Data Installation Supervisor. Orland retired after 35 years in 1981. When he and his wife, Marge retired they moved to Port Charlotte, Fl. After 17 years in Florida they moved back to Indiana in 2005. Orland was a member of the Plainfield Christian Church. He enjoyed boating, fishing, flying and doing sudoku puzzles in his spare time. Family time was very important to Orland. He was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Wittorff. Funeral services will be at 12:00 pm (noon) Tuesday, April 16, 2019 in the Plainfield Christian Church where friends may visit from 11:00 am until time of service. Entombment will be Wednesday, April 17, in Washington Park East Cemetery at 10:00 am with Military Honors. Survivors include his wife, Marge Warren; daughter, Lorraine (Ron) Rine; step-son, Steven Hamilton; sisters, Connie (Ivan) Farrell and Millie Hammond; sisters in law, Jessie (Melvin) Roth and Mary Alice (Bill) Dunlap; grandchildren, Brad (Stephanie) Davis, Melanie Rine, Eve, Margaret and Iris Hamilton; great grandchildren, Harrison and Caroline Davis; several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers contributions may be sent to the Plainfield Christian Church (800 Dan Jones Road, Plainfield, IN 46168) or the Alzheimer's Association (50 E. 91st Street #100, Indianapolis, IN 46240).
