Norma R. Hackler, 96, of Plainfield, passed away on July 5, 2019. She was born on May 15, 1923 in Washington, IN to the late William Shanks and Ethel (Fish) Moore. Norma was an accounting clerk for Fort Benjamin Harrison's Army Financing Center. She was a member of the Plainfield Christian Church where she volunteered in her free time. Norma was a member of the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed playing cards and traveling. Norma loved her family especially her grandchildren & great granchildren. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Raymond Hackler Sr; son, Michael Hackler; several brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be Thursday, July 11, 2019 at 1:00 pm in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home where friends may visit from 11:00 am until time of service. Entombment will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery. Survivors include her son, Ray (Rochelle) Hackler Jr; daughters, Diane (Ross) Guzik and Debbie (Mark) Kleis; sister, Emily Moore; daughter in law, Flo Hackler; 10 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren.
