Nettie Lou Rentschler

Nettie Lou Rentschler, 90, of Plainfield, passed away surrounded by loving family members on April 27, 2024.  She was born on July 16, 1933 in Clay City, IN to the late Emery and Hallie Miller.  Lou worked at Plainfield High School in the cafeteria as the cashier.  She also worked for Peggy Lewis Interior.  Lou was a member of the Gasburg Baptist Church and a former member of the Plainfield Baptist Church.  She belonged to the Plainfield Garden Club.  Lou enjoyed gardening and decorating in her free time.  She loved spending time with her family.  Lou was preceded in death by her loving husband, Merl Rentschler; brothers, Max and Don Miller; sisters, Norma Pierson and Joan Wright.  Funeral services will be on Thursday, May 2, 2024 at 1:00 pm in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home where friends may visit from 11:00 am until the time of service at 1:00 pm.  Burial will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery.  Survivors include her daughters, Teresa (Rocky) Grismore and Jeannine Medvescek; sister, Margaret (Jim) Flater; brothers, George (Martha) and Jay Miller; grandchildren, Joey Medvescek and Nate Grismore; great grandchildren, Avery Medvescek, Addison Medvescek, Sophie and Beckley Grismore.
