Nancy DeWeese

Nancy DeWeese, 83, of Plainfield, passed away on August 21, 2023.  She was born on February 29, 1940 in Indianapolis to the late Gerald and Helen Maas.  Nancy worked for the Speedway High School in administration from 1980-87.  She then worked as the office manager for 20 years for Chiropractor Dr. Robert Krause retiring in 2019.  Nancy was a member of the Plainfield Christian Church.  She enjoyed sewing and reading in her free time.  Nancy loved cats and would feed all the neighborhood cats.  She was preceded in death by her brother, Gerry Maas.   Survivors include her sons, Jerry (Emily) and Greg (Stephanie) DeWeese; grandchildren, Kristine (Griffin) Crum, Breanna (Brent) Schueller and Deryk Webber; great grandchildren, Makenna Thompson, Reece Schueller, Jocelynn and Layla Webber; cousin, Patricia McCurdy.  A Celebration Of Life service will be held at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at the Christ Church, 550 St. Luke Dr., Plainfield, and where friends may call at the church from 5:00 pm until service time at 7:00 pm.  Arrangements by Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield.
