Michael A. Gillespie Sr.

Michael A. Gillespie Sr., of Plainfield, passed away July 14, 2022.  He was born May 12, 1946 to the late Herbert Gillespie and Margaret (Osting) Armstrong in Indianapolis, IN.  He was a US Army veteran of the Vietnam War.  He worked as a lineman for AT&T for 37 years retiring in 2004.  He later worked in the produce department at Wal-Mart retiring in 2021.  Michael is survived by his wife, Bonnie S. (Baker) Gillespie; a son, Michael A. (Lori) Gillespie Jr; two daughters, April L. (Steven) Juengel and Ginger K. (Doug) Hathaway; 6 grandchildren, Amanda (Nick) Parr; Bree (Tyler) Sparks, John (Taryn) Hathaway, Brandon Gillespie, Zachary Juengel and Emma Juengel; and 7 great grandchildren.  Memorial services will begin with full military honors at 1:00 pm with the service to follow on Friday, July 22, 2022 at the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainield, where friends may call on Friday from 11:00 am until service time at 1:00 pm.
