Margaret Ann Berry

Margaret Ann Berry 80, of Plainfield,  was born on November 14, 1941 to the late James and Margaret Smith in Indianapolis, IN.  She was married to Charles W. Berry in 1973.  After 35 years of service, Margaret Ann retired from the Indiana Bell Telephone Company.  Margaret Ann, also known affectionately as "Aunt Maggie" to her nieces and nephews, had a love for dogs, exotic birds, and the outdoors.  She was an avid gardener and spent many hours tending to her vegetables and flowers.  She also enjoyed attending the sporting events of her extended family.  You could often find her at a basketball game or cheering on her favorite football team (Go Packers!).  She was a member of St. Susanna Catholic Church in Plainfield.  After battling Alzheimer's for several years, Margaret Ann passed away peacefully on June 1, 2022.  She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Charles Berry; a brother James (Myrna) Smith; 7 nieces and nephews and 12 great nieces and nephews.  Funeral services will be held at 12:30 pm on Saturday, June 4, 2022 in the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield, where friends may call on Saturday from 11:30 am until service time at 12:30 pm.  Entombment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzeimer's Associantion at www.alz.org.
