Margaret R. Alsman

 Margaret R. Alsman, 99, of Indianapolis, passed away January 24, 2022. Born and raised in Plainfield, Indiana to Mary White, Margaret was the youngest of eight siblings. She was married to Clarence M. Alsman and together they raised three daughters. She enjoyed traveling, birdwatching, reading westerns and spending time with her children and many grandchildren. While her passing leaves a heartfelt loss to our family, we are beyond blessed to have had her beautiful smile and love for so many years. We draw comfort knowing that she lived a full and rewarding life surrounded by those who loved her.  Margaret was preceded in death by her husband (Clarence), her mother and all eight of her siblings. She is survived by her three daughters, Sharon Lashbrook, Jannece (Paul) Mellinger and Jennifer (Daniel) Webster as well as six grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.  Following Margaret’s wishes of cremation, a private burial will be held at Maple Hill  Cemetery in Plainfield, IN at a future date. A celebration of life will be held in July to honor her 100^th birthday.  Arrangements by Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield.
