Lucille Harper

Lucille Joan Harper, 91, of Indianapolis, passed away on February 10, 2024.  She was born in Indianapolis on August 17, 1932 to the late Kenneth and Ruby Parrish.  Joan was a homemaker and dedicated mother to her children.  She enjoyed sewing and gardening in her free time.  Joan loved taking care of foster children.  She was preceded in death by her loving husband, James Harper; sisters, Virginia Pollard, Donna Vanatta and Kate Johnson; grandchild, Chris Blevins.  Survivors include daughters, Sandra (Ernie) Tinsley, Debra (Randy) Harper, Charlotte Ann (Mark) Powell and Judy (Eric) Vonessen; grandchildren, Eric Blevins, Jennifer Slocum, Joy Powell, Daniel Vonessen and Katie Vonessen; 11 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild.  A Celebration Of Life will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at the First Baptist Church, 680 N. Indiana St., Mooresville, IN, with calling one hour prior to services.  Arrangements by Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield.
