Letha L. Stevens

Indianapolis

Letha L. Stevens, 92, of Indianapolis, passed away surrounded by loving family members.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Anna (Donica) Jophlin; husband of 52 years, Paul Stevens and 16 brothers and sisters.  Letha is survived by her children, Darrell Stevens, Cheryl Stevens and Mark (Lorna) Stevens; grandchildren, Aaron Stevens, Autumn (Mike) Bourg, Dustin (Alexandria) Trisch, Marcus Trisch, Trent Trisch, Emily Stevens and Alexander Stevens; 7 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.  She was a homemaker, mother, mentor and an inspiration to multitudes of generations.  Letha loved drawing, painting, gardening and making crafts in her spare time.  She was a member of Westside Church Of The Nazarene where her greatest enjoyment was teaching kindergarten Sunday school for over 50 years.  Letha's servitude to the church and community didn't stop there.  She also enjoyed helping with the food pantry and made wonderful desserts for church functions.  Letha was a faithful member of the Westside Neighborhood Association where she lived in her home for over 70 years.  Funeral services will be on Thursday, June 13, 2024 at 1:00 pm in the Westside Church Of The Nazarene (8610 W. 10th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46234) where friends may visit from 10:00 am until the time of service at 1:00 pm.  Burial will follow in Floral Park Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers it would honor Letha and her life if you would make a donation to the Wounded Warrior Project or the Westside Food Pantry at the Westside Church Of The Nazarene.
