Larry Merritt

Larry E. Merritt, 62, of Avon, passed away peacefully on January 6, 2025.  He was born on November 17, 1962 in Beech Grove, IN to William Merritt Jr. and Shirley Redding.  Larry was a member of the Plainfield Eagles #3207 and ABATE.  He was a huge classic rock music buff.  Larry loved his Ford Torino Cobra and his FLH Harley-Davidson.  He loved spending time with his family.  Larry was preceded in death by his father, William Merritt Jr.  Funeral services will be on Saturday, January 11, 2025 at 1:00 pm in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home where friends may visit from 11:00 am until the time of service at 1:00 pm.  Burial will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery.  Survivors include his loving mother, Shirley Redding; sister, Pam Reed (David Gulledge); niece, Meranda Bitner (Thomas Donohoe); nephews, Cody Reed (Rachel Schwab) and Jesse Reed; best friend, Steve Young.  Larry's last piece of advice would be to "keep it between the ditches"
