Kenneth L. Clanton, 85, Avon, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on April 15, 2024, with family member present. He was born July 3, 1938 in Cartersburg and resided in Indiana all of his life. He was a member of the Indiana National Guard for 6 years. He was a machinist repair journeyman for 53 years at Link Belt and then Allison Transmission. Kenny liked to spend time with family, hunt, fish and go to auto races. He also enjoyed helping with many of his children’s home and automotive projects. He was married May 8, 1960, to Jean Sarber. He was a member of Avon United Methodist Church for 62 years. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Jean, son Jeff and wife, Shaun; daughter Teresa; son Greg and wife, Angie; sister Nancy; grandchildren Jocelyn and husband Adam; Joel, Erin, Krista; great-grandchild Westley. A private celebration of life will be held for the immediate family. In honor of his memory, donations can be made to The Gathering Together, 147 N Center St, Plainfield, IN, 46168(thegatheringtogether.org), where he spent his final days with family and was cared for by the loving staff.
