Karla "Sis" M. Calvert

Karla "Sis" M. Calvert, 72, of Plainfield, passed away September 7, 2024.  She was born July 5, 1952 in Indianapolis, IN.  She was a homemaker.  Karla (Sis) was a family person. She loved spending time with her husband Rick and their cat Christoper. Rick and Karla met in school and immediately knew that they belonged together. She was a proud breast cancer survivor and supported many breast cancer organizations. Everybody knew her favorite time of the year.  She would decorate the whole house for Christmas and loved spending the holidays with her friends and family. We will always carry your memory in our hearts.  A special thanks to the staff at Cumberland Trace (Heritage Court) for their kindness and exceptional care.  Karla is survived by her husband, Richard "Rick" W. Calvert; her father, Karl Williams; three brothers, Jeff A. (Dhana) Williams, Richard M. (Barb) Williams, and David A. (Pat) Williams.  She was preceded in death by her mother, Della (York) Williams; and a sister-in-law, (David's first wife) Jodi Williams.  Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm on Thursday, September 12, 2024 in the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield, where friends may call on Thursday from 11:00 am until service time at 1:00 pm.  Burial will follow in Clayton Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Susan G.
