Judith Ann Bush-Waggoner, 83, of Avon, passed away April 23, 2023 after having a long illness. She was born October 8, 1939 to the late Ernest Bowman and Geneva (Wilson) Bowman-Fowler in Trion, GA. At the age of 13 Judith and her family moved to Indianapolis She was a member of the Coatesville United Methodist Church. She was a loving mother and homemaker. She was a child care provided for many years. She enjoyed sewing and making crafts, and was also the church pianist at Westview Baptist Church for many years. Judith is survived by her husband, Don Waggoner of Avon; two daughters, Terri (Tom) Strong of Plainfield, and Dana (Bill) Hider of Indianapolis; a step-son, Daniel Waggoner; three step-daughters, Dawn (Thomas) Jones, Lori (Tom) Abbott and Deanna (Danny) Sanders; two sisters, Patricia Headley and Myra Wade; a sister-in-law, Linda Bowman; two grandchildren, Ken (Corie) Strong and Jennifer (Brian) Fox; 11 step-grandchildren, Danny (Brandi) Sanders Jr., Brandy (Alex) Dickerson, Dustin (Stephanie) Sanders, Hannah Sanders, Larrissa Bingham, Justin (Jennifer) Abbott, Jason (Maggie) Waggoner, Eric Jones, Berk Waggoner, Jack Waggoner, and Colleen Waggoner; and 20 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, James R. Bush, a son, Douglas Bush, a brother Tony Bowman, and a great granddaughter, Haley Sanders. Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm on Saturday, April 29, 2023 in the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield with Pastor Danny Sanders officiating, and where friends may call on Saturday from 11:00 am until service time at 1:00 pm. Burial will be on Monday, May 1, 2023 at 12:00 noon in the Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood. Memorial contributions may be made to the Coatesville United Methodist Church, 4863 Milton St., Coatesville, IN 46121.
