Judith Larracey

Indianapolis

Judith Lee Larracey, daughter of the late Marvin and Leona Jones of Plainfield, passed away on February 17, 2025.  She is the wife of Rev. Dr. Patrick Larracey.  They have two adult children, Steven P. Larracey of Camby and Cristina L. James of Avon and two grandchildren, Ben and Elinore James.  The Larracey's were married on August 9, 1963 at the Fairfield Friends Meeting by her uncle, the lat Rev. Dr. Elmer Brown.  She has a sister, Louise Oliver of Scottsdale, AZ.  Judy was a faithful pastor's wife and loved to sing in the church choirs.  The Larracey's met singing in the choir of Guilford College in Greensboro, NC where they both graduated.  Judith served as a soloist from Indiana and New England after completing a B.A. from Guilford in voice and music education.  Volunteered with children in elementary schools who needed special help as well as a Girl Scout leader.  A Celebration Of Life will take place on Saturday, March 8, 2025 at the First Congregational United Church Of Christ Church (7171 N. Pennsylvania St., Indianapolis  46240) beginning at 11:00 a.m., where friends and family may visit from 10:00 a.m. until service time.  A private inurnment will take place at the Fairfield Friends Meeting Cemetery close to her parents and many other relatives as this is her home meeting.  She graduated from Plainfield High School in 1959.
