Joseph Macri, 96, of Clayton, passed away December 22, 2018. He was born on January 15, 1922 in Oneonta, NY to the late Carlo and Maria Macri. Joseph was an United States Marine veteran and served in WWII. He was a school teacher for 20 years. Joseph retired as the owner of Macri's Italian Village restaurant. He was a member of the Clayton Presbyterian Church. Joseph enjoyed wood working in his free time. He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Lou Macri; brothers, Paul, Vincent and John Macri; sisters, Vera Agostino and Ida DeBlase. Funeral services will be Friday, December 28, 2018 at 2:00 pm in the Clayton Presbyterian Church (4887 Pennsylvania Street, Clayton, IN 46118) where friends may visit from 12:00 (noon) until time of service. Burial will follow at Clayton Cemetery. Survivors include his sons, Jay, Jeff (Laura) and Joel (Teresa) Macri; 5 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren.
