Joseph E. DeHoney

Joseph E. DeHoney, 79, of Plainfield, passed away August 24, 2024.  He was born March 6, 1945 to the late Loren and Cora (Throckmorton) DeHoney in Brooklyn, IN.  He was an US Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War.  He worked for AT&T as a Communications Tech for 30 years retiring in 1998.  His favorite pasttimes were baseball, reading and day trading in the stock market.  Joe is survived by his wife, Carolyn V. (Sorter) DeHoney; a daughter, Susan Doherty; two grandchildren, Bridget and Rhiannon Doherty; and 3 great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by a son, Sean DeHoney; a brother, James DeHoney; and a sister, Diane DeHoney.  There will be no calling or services.  An inurnment will take place at Maple Hill Cemetery, Plainfield at a later date.  Arrangements by Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield.
