John Day Noah Malicoat

John Day Noah Malicoat, 72, of Plainfield, passed away peacefully with his brother by his side on February 16, 2025.  He was born on November 4, 1952 in Greencastle, IN to the late Noah and Ruth Malicoat.  John worked for Hobbs Nursery for over 45 years retiring in 2000.  He belonged to the New Testament Christian Church and loved his church family.  John read the bible daily and was a devoted Christian man.  He enjoyed collecting toys and was known as the "Toy King".  John loved tractors and being outdoors.  He was preceded in death by a brother, Jessie Robert Ralston.  Funeral services will be on Friday, February 21, 2025 at 1:00 pm in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home where friends may visit from 11:00 am until the time of service at 1:00 pm.  Burial will follow in New Maysville Cemetery.  Survivors include his loving brother/best friend, Larry Joe Malicoat; sister, Anna "Becky" (John) Hobbs; 9 nieces and nephews; 46 grand nieces and nephews; 56 great grand nieces and nephews.
