John A. "Bud" Daum

John A. "Bud" Daum, 91, of Plainfield, passed away January 31, 2019. He was born July 5, 1927 in Plainfield to the late John F. and Carrie O. Daum. He was a US Army veteran. John was a lifelong farmer and former Hendricks County Councilman and Commissioner. He also was a member of Plainfield Christian Church. Funeral services will be Tuesday, February 5, at 2:00 pm in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, where friends may call from 11:00 am until service time. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery. John was preceded in death by his wife, Charleen Daum and a grandson, Gregory Adam Clay. Survivors include his daughters, Sharon (Carter) Huff, Susan Clay Daum and Judy (Randy) Pfeifer; son, John W. "Buddy" Daum; sisters, Edna Mae Pedigo, Alice (Jim) Ellis and Esther McCombs; sister in law, Marsha Edwards; 9 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild; several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, Hendricks County Animal Shelter or Sheltering Wings.
