Jerry Wayne Cooper

November 30, 1945 — July 3, 2017

Jerry Wayne Cooper, 71, of Stilesville, passed away July 3, 2017.  He was born November 30, 1945 to the late Kenneth Cooper and Mary (Rippy) Mendenhall in Greencastle, IN.  He was a veteran of the US Army National Guard.  He worked 35 years for  Allison Gas Turbine  retiring as a senior manufacturing engineer in 2001.  He was a member of the Mooresville Masonic Lodge #78.  Jerry is survived by his wife, Jonnie M. (Crawford) Cooper; two sons, John M. (Kimberly) and Clay M. (Carrie) Cooper; two brothers, Mark (Tish) and Tim (Teresa) Cooper; a sister, Sharon (Keith) Brock; a sister-in-law, Cindy Cooper; and 4 grandchildren, Madison Sharman, Kyle Tardiff, Emma Cooper and Alexandra Cooper.  He was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Cooper.  Visitation will be from 2:00 to 6:00 pm on Sunday, July 9, 2017 in the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home.  Services will be at 10:30 am on Monday, July 10 in the funeral home.  Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery, Plainfield.
