Janice M. Alger

Janice M. Alger, 85, of Plainfield, passed away on May 2, 2023 surrounded by her loving sisters.  She was born in Plainfield on May 26, 1937 to the late Russell and Esther Barlow.  Janice worked for the Hartford Insurance Company for 43 years retiring in 1999.  She belonged to the New Winchester Christian Church.  Janice loved spending time with her sisters and her dogs over the years.  She enjoyed flowers, whether it was planting them or just the beauty of them. Janice was preceded in death by one of her sisters, Betty Barlow Moss Yates.  Services will be private with burial at Maple Hill Cemetery.  Survivors include her loving sisters, Jean Kelly-Beasley and Jane Headrick; 3 nephews and 1 niece.
